Mrs. Nielsen Died Friday

Funeral Services Held Monday Morning at Episcopal Church

Mrs. Morris Nielsen, 80 years of age, died Friday at the Omaha Methodist Hospital.

Funeral services were held this (Monday) morning at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, Father Sam Elliston officiating with interment in Blair Cemetery.

Mrs. Nielsen is survived by four sons, Morris of New York City, Damon of Blair, Vance of Kearney and Jules of Brooklyn, New York, a sister, Mrs. Martha Valaer of Winter Haven, Florida and a grandson, Steven Nielsen of Kearney.

Mary Aledander Nielsen was born June 6, 1880 on a farm in the southeast part of Washington County, the daughter of Nels J. and Margreta Nielsen.

In 1903 she married the late Dr. Morris Nielsen, who died in 1955. She was a member of the PEO. In 1925 she served as president of the Women’s Auxiliary of the Nebraska State Medical Society.

Pallbearers were Sam Haller, Dr. Edwin Jipp, Wayne Anderson, B.F. Lundt, Ernest Schmidt and Ray Lippincott.

Campbell Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
