Services for Nancy Nielsen, age 51 of Blair, who died at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair May 15, 1993 after an apparent heart attack, will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 18 at the Campbell-Aman Funeral Home with burial in the Blair Cemetery.

Nancy L. Nielsen, the daughter of William and Willa Boring Cowherd was born November 15, 1941 at Des Moines, Iowa. She grew in the Des Moines and graduated from high school in Des Moines, later moving to Atlantic, Iowa. She was employed for 13 years with the Ramanda Inn as reservationist and later worked American Express as operation manager in Greensboro, North Carolina, prior to moving to Blair in 1991.

Nancy married Gene Nielsen November 25, 1960 at Omaha, Nebraska.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son and one brother.

Surviving her in death is her husband, Gene; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Bruce Hansen; son, Jeff Nielsen; son and daughter-in-law Todd and Shannon Nielsen, all of Blair; sons, John Hansen, Atlantic, Iowa and Paul Hansen, Fairbury, Nebraska; brother and sister-in-law, William and Marie Cowherd, Davenport, Iowa; six grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and friends.
