“Dink: Nielsen Died At Hospital Wednesday Night

Niels “Dink” Nielsen, well known Blair man, died at Memorial Community Hospital Wednesday night. Mr. Nielsen, 64 years of age, had been an assistant at the Campbell Mortuary for the past 25 years and had also worked at the Robinson Liquor Store.

He was born in Washington county on a farm in the Rose Hill neighborhood on November 14th, 1895 and would have been 65 years of age on the 14th of this month. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Soren Peter Nielsen. He grew to manhood on the farm, coming to Blair to work a number of years ago. He was never married.

He is survived by three brothers, George, Alfred and Mike Nielsen and a sister, Mrs. Hans Petersen (Sadie).

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Campbell Mortuary with Father Sam Elliston of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church officiating. Burial will be made in the Blair Cemetery.
