Graveside services for Richard D. Nielsen of Dallas, Texas, were held Thursday, March 23, in the Kennard Cemetery with Dr. Howard Bailey officiating. Richard died in Dallas on March 17, 1989.

He was born on September 2, 1927 at Kennard, Nebraska to Alfred and Edna Andersen Nielsen. He attended school in Kennard and later served in the Air Force during the Korean War.

He is survived by his mother, Edna Nielsen of Blair; one brother Warren Nielsen of Kennard, and one sister Marian Gilbert of Blair, Nebraska.
