Services Held For Theodora Nielsen

Theodora A. Nielsen, 87, passed away at the MCV Nursing Center on April 29. Services were held at the Mattson Chapel in Mahnomen on Tuesday, May 2, the Rev. Ivan Wambheim officiating, and at Bethesda Lutheran Church in Moorheard, Iowa, on May 3, with Rev. Luther Flugstad and Rev. F. William Thomsen officiating.

Burial was a Bethesda Lutheran Cemetery, Moorhead, Iowa, with Jack Fleckenstein, Maurice Jensen, Henry Lund, Floyd Nielsen, Chris Thogersen and Verl Peterson serving as pallbearers. Mattson Funeral Home, Mahnomen, was in charge of arrangements.

She was born to Fredrick and Christine Sorensen at Moorhead, Iowa on July 8, 1890. She married Chris Nikolaisen on December 16, 1911 at Onawa, Iowa and was later married to Harold Nielsen in Laurel, Nebraska, on February 23, 1926. Following the death of her second husband in 1941 she moved to Blair, Nebraska, where she did custodial service at Dana College. She moved to California in 1956 and was a resident in Mahnomen since 1971.
