Janet J. Jacobsen, 93, of Blair died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2014, at Crowell Home in Blair.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 12, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair. Burial will follow services in the Blair Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home.

Janet Jane McDonald was born to Cecil Snyder McDonald and William D. McDonald at her Grandpa Snyder’s Washington County farm on June 14, 1921.

She married Reid H. Jacobsen on July 3, 1943, in Rochester, N.Y.

She retired from the Corps of Engineers. Her husband preceded her in death.

Janet’s family always meant everything to her. She is survived by her brother, George (Luree) McDonald: her daughters: Dawn (Al) Thompson and Gayle (Joe) Roberts; grandchildren: Pat (Lisa) Thompson, Pam Miettinen, Peggy Thompson, Derek Roberts, Kyle (Megan) Roberts and Tahni Roberts; great-grandchildren: Dakota Conner, Dylan Miettinen, Danny Thompson, Olivia Thompson, Joey Thompson, Isaac Roberts, Abigayle Kaufman, Avery Roberts and Corey Roberts; great-great grandchildren: Tristan and Ava Conner; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, including Katie, Mary, Patty, Anna, Kim and the caregivers at Crowell Home.
