Frances Jerabek, 99, of Blair, formerly of Farwell, died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2014, in Blair.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Saturday at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in St. Paul. Rev. Ray Kosmicki will officiate. Interment will be in St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery near Farwell. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Friday with a wake service at 6:30 p.m. at the church.

Mrs. Jerabek was born March 10, 1915, in rural Sherman County near Loup City to Vincent and Agnes (Mazankowski) Bogacz, one of nine children.

She attended Wiggle Creek Schools through the 9th grade.

Frances was united in marriage to William Jerabek on Nov. 6, 1934, in Loup City.

They moved to Farwell where they began farming. There were three children born to this union.

After her husband died in 1969, she became employed at the Howard County Hospital and the St. Paul Senior Center. Frances moved to St. Paul in 1984 where she lived until she retired in 2002. At that time, she moved to Blair to be near her daughter, Mary Ann, her husband and family.

Frances lived at Shepherds Village Retirement Center and Crowell Nursing Home in Blair.

She participated in many activities, crafts, outings and close fellowship with many friends. While she lived in St. Paul, she was a member of the Red Hat Society. She continued her faith at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Blair, where spiritually she remained close with her Savior. She kept close contact with all of her family by many family gatherings, telephone calls and by mail.

She will always be remembered by her family and friends as a loving, kind, gentle and caring woman.

Frances was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in St. Paul and a past member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Farwell.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law William and Bertha Jerabek of St. Paul; daughter and son-in-law Mary Ann and Jim Lukasiewicz of Omaha; son-in-law David Lukasiewicz of Farwell; 12 grandchildren: Kelly Scheer, Randy and Ryan Jerabek, Kristine Lewin, Brian and Christian Lukasiewicz, Stacie Iossi, Angela Hansen, Julie Pohlad, Heidi Townsend, Trisha Ludemann and Wendy Takahashi; 25 great-grandchildren; three sisters and two brothers-in-law: Marie Eurek of Loup City, Connie and James McCloy of Parrish, Fla., Dorothy Jarzynka of Omaha and Edward Hahn of Omaha.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband William Sr.; a daughter, Karen Lukasiewicz; three sisters: May Kwiatkowski, Lorrie Hahn and Anna Rozmus; and three brothers: Frank, Edward and Clarence Bogacz.

Memorials are suggested to St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery, the St. Anthony’s Church Preservation Fund or the Sts. Peter and Paul Parish Life Center in St. Paul.
