Mrs. John Nohrenberg, formerly of this place, died at the hospital in Tekamah last Friday, January 5th, and the funeral was held at Trinity Lutheran church in this city yesterday. Rev. A.W. Lambrecht, of Lyons, officiating. Christina Thole was born in Scott county, Ill., April 26th, 1880, and was, therefore, 42 years, 8 months and 9 days old at the time of her death. She was the youngest of a family of ten children and besides the husband and two children she leaves eight sisters and a brother to mourn her early demise. She was married to John Nohrenberg October 18th, 1900, and four children were born to them, two of whom died in infancy. The living are Rudolph, aged 16, and Walter, aged 15. The family had lived here previous to their moving onto a farm between Decatur and Lyons. Relatives attending the funeral were: Mrs. H.H. Trebold, Hildreth, Neb., Mr. and Mrs. H.D. Thole, Geneva, Neb., Mr. and Mrs. Henry Langhorst and Bertha, David City, Neb., Mrs. Mary Furst and daughters, Rena and Amanda, and son, Arthur, of Irvington, Neb., Mr. and Mrs. Lou Jensen and son, Robert, Omaha, Neb., Mrs. Lou Pingle and daughter, Viola, of Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Bohn, Blair, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Woltze and family, Blair, Mrs. Gust Fries, Ohiowa, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Fries, of Tobias, Mrs. Henry Wulf, Ohiowa, Mr. Peter Nohrenberg, Kansas City, Mo., Mr. and Mrs. Henry Nohrenberg, Blair, Mr. Chris Nohrenberg, Omaha, Mrs. Herman Nohrenberg, South Dakota and Mr. and Mrs. Nohrenberg’s cousins and friends were also present.

Mrs. John Nohrenberg Died At Tekamah Friday

Mrs. John Nohrenberg, who resided near Decatur, died at the Tekamah hospital January 5, aged 42 years, 8 months and 9 days. Her maiden name was Christina R. Hole, and she was born in Scott county, Ill., April 26, 1880. She was married October 18, 1900, to John Nohrenberg and was the mother of four children, a son and a daughter dying in infancy. The two living children are Ralph, aged 16, and Walter, aged 15. Mrs. Nohrenberg was the youngest of a family of ten children and leaves eight sisters and a brother besides her husband and children, to mourn her death, all of whom were present at the funeral.

Previous to moving to Decatur the Nohrenberg family lived in Blair and the deceased was highly esteemed by a large circle of friends.

Funeral services were conducted at the Trinity Lutheran church in Blair, Tuesday at 1:30 p.m., Rev. Lambrecht of Lyons officiating and interment was made in the Blair cemetery. Many friends join in extending condolences to the bereaved relatives in the passing of a dearly loved wife, mother and sister.
