Mrs. Peter Nohrenberg died of dropsy at the farm home, 3 1/2 miles northwest of Blair, at 9 o'clock yesterday morning, Dec. 9th, having been sick for the past six months. The funeral will be held at the German Lutheran Church to this city at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon Anna Buttenschoen was born in Holstein, Germany, August 16th, 1848. When a grown girl she came to this country and one year later was married to Peter Nohrenberg at the German Church from which she will be buried, by Rev. Hilgendorf, of Arlington. They have made their home since that time on the farm northwest of town, where five sons were born to them, John, who lives on the old place, Henry lives in Cuming City Township, Herman at Pratt, S. D. and Christian works in Omaha. Otto died six years ago at the age of 27. Besides the husband and children she leaves one sister, Mrs. August Bruse, of this city. she was a member of the German Lutheran Church and died in full faith in the better life beyond.

MRS. PETER NOHRENBERG

Mrs. Peter Nohrenberg died at the family home west of Blair on Tuesday, December 9, 1913, of dropsy, after an illness extending over a long period.

Mrs. Nohrenberg was born August 16, 1848, in Schleswig, Holstein, Germany. She came to America in 1872, and was married to Peter Nohrenberg at Blair, April 11, 1873, and they immediately settled on the farm where she died after a residence there of forty-one years. To Mr. and Mrs. Nohrenberg, six children were born, four of whom with her husband survive her. They are Henry and John of Blair, Herman of Platte, So. Dak., and Chris of Omaha, all of whom were present at the funeral.

The funeral was held at two o’clock Friday afternoon from the German Lutheran church in Blair, Rev. Lambrecht, conducting the services, and the body was interred in the Blair cemetery.
