Bert Norris Dead at 64

Passed Away At His Home, August 7; Lived In County 50 Years

Bertselle Thomas Norris, best known as “Bert” Norris, died at his home in Blair, Tuesday. A native of Boone county, Ia., Norris was 64 years old.

Funeral rites were conducted at three o’clock Wednesday afternoon from Campbell Mortuary, with interment in Blair cemetery.

Born September 26, 1879, Norris had been a resident of Washington county for halve a century. His marriage to Chloe E. Carter of Blair, occurred October 5, 1901, in Council Bluffs, Ia. Three children were born to this union, one of whom (Margaret) died in infancy.

Mr. Norris was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Surviving are the widow and two children. David Earle of Blair and Fredric LeRoy of the U.S. Navy, a brother, Frederic L.; four grandchildren, Mrs. Lewis Hillman, Iona Jean, Karen Kay and Gary LeRoy Norris; and two great-grandchildren, Ronda Jean and David Lewis Hillman, all of Blair.
