MRS. EDWARD NORRIS DIES AT THE CLIFTON HOTEL

Mrs. Edward Norris died at the Clifton hotel Friday, August 10, 1923, after an illness dating from July 4.

Mrs. Norris, who was a sister of Mrs. A.J. Yates, of the Clifton hotel, was born in New York, March 28, 1857, and was, therefore, past 60 years old. She came with her husband several months ago for a visit with her sister and family when she became ill and since early in July has been under the care of a physician.

The body was taken to Tama, Iowa, on Monday where the funeral was held and interment made.

Mrs. Edward C. Norris died at the Clifton hotel last Friday afternoon at 3:30 of cancer, following an illness of several months duration. The body was taken to her old home at Tama, Ia., where the funeral and burial service was held, accompanied by her sisters, Mrs. A.J. Yates and Miss Carrie Coe. Miss Jennie D. Coe was born in New York March 28th, 1857, so was past 66 years of age. She was married to Mr. Norris at Tama, Ia, about 25 years ago. They came here about six months ago on account of her health and have been making their home at the Clifton hotel. She is survived by her husband and three step-sons, Vern, of Toledo, Ia, Elmer, of Tama and Clinton, of Eagle Grove, Ia.
