CLINT NOYES DEAD

Clint Noyes died at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. N.E. Noyes, yesterday morning about 7 o’clock and the funeral will be held from the home Friday afternoon. For the past two months Clint had been suffering with tuberculosis of the bowels and lungs. He was 34 years old and leaves a wife and two children. He was born in Missouri and came to Blair with his parents in 1881, where he has since resided. Besides the parents he had four brothers and one sister.

PASSED AWAY

After an illness covering several months, Clinton Noyes answered the call of nature and passed to the great beyond at seven o’clock, Wednesday morning.

Clinton Johnson Noyes was born at Sand Hill, Scotland Co., Missouri, March 27, 1880, and died at Blair, Nebr., Feb 5, 1913, aged 33 years, 10 months and 5 days.

He was one of a family of ten children, four of whom preceded him to that shore from whence no traveller returns. He leaves a wife and two small children who will keenly feel the loss of a kind father’s care; mother, father, four brothers and one sister to mourn the loss of a loving husband, son and brother.

Clinton Noyes was well known in Blair where he had been engaged in the barber business and where he had made many friends by his unassuming manners and was known as an upright gentleman.

The funeral was held Friday afternoon at the Baptist church, conducted by Rev. F.M. Sturdevant and interment was made in Blair cemetery.

Only those who have passed through a similar sorrow, know what it means to give up a loved one, and no words can assuage the grief and sorrow that has come into the lives of those left to mourn. But the consciousness that beyond this life there is a land where winds chill not, where spring leaves abound, where hearts do not break, where sorrow holds no carnival over desolate hearts or withered affections, bids us hope for a reunion beyond the cerulean skies and we “Pass Under the Rod” in submission. If words, if sympathy of tender hearts can do aught to soften the grief, then many friends tender to the sorrowing one their deepest sympathy.

Clint Noyes died Wednesday morning at his father’s home here in Blair. He had been sick for several months. He leaves a wife and two children. The funeral will be Friday afternoon from the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. N.E. Noyes.
