Funeral services for Elmer “Jack” Andreasen, age 92 of Blair who died August 30, 1990 at Good Shepherd Home were Saturday, September 1, at the First united Methodist Church with burial in the Blair Cemetery.

Elmer Andreasen was born on November 7, 1897 at Kennard, Nebraska to Jakob and An Elsa Julison Andreasen. He attended school in Kennard and Dana College.

He worked for the Postal Department, before engaging in farming. On July 10, 1918, he married Ethel Andersen at Kennard, Nebraska. They moved to the Meaney area in 1919 and farmed in this vicinity until moving west of Kennard in 1922 and farmed in this area until his retirement in 1964. In 1965 they moved to Blair.

In April of 1990 Elmer moved to the Good Shepherd Home and made his home there until his death.

Ethel preceded him in death in January of 1989. He was also preceded in death by his parents and eight brothers and sisters.

Elmer is survived by his three sons and daughters-in-law, Neal and Audrey Andreasen, Blair Nebraska; Ivan and Marlyss Andreasen, Sana Rosa, California; Charles and Jackie Andreasen, Hastings, Nebraska; nine grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
