ETHEL ANDREASEN, 90

Ethel Andreasen, 90, a lifetime resident of Washington County, died at the Crowell Home in Blair on Saturday, Jan. 7, 1989.

Ethel was born on May 14, 1898 to Andrew and Rose (McBride) Andersen in rural Kennard. She was united in marriage to Elmer Andreasen on July 10, 1918 in Kennard and they lived in the Kennard area for many years until retiring and moving to Blair in 1966.

Ethel was a member of the First United Methodist Church and a member of the United Methodist Women.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Edna Nielsen.

She is survived by her husband, Elmer “Jack” Andreasen; three sons, Neal of Blair, Ivan of Santa Rosa, Ca., and Charles of Hastings; by nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great-granddaughters; by two sisters, Mary Nielsen of Blair and Blanche Petersen of California.

Funeral services will be held today, Tuesday, Jan. 10 at 2 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church with Dr. Howard Bailey officiating.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Roger Andreasen, Andy Andreasen, Jeff Andreasen, Phil Lorenzen, Fred Schumacher and Neal Schumacher.

Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were handled by the Campbell Funeral Home in Blair.
