JACOB JACOBSEN BURIED TUESDAY

Countian Since 1891, Farmer East Of Blair Died Saturday At Age 62

Jacob Jacobsen, 62, farmer east of Blair, died Saturday after a lengthy illness. He had been a resident of the county for 50 years.

Born at Horsens, Denmark, June 24, 1878, he was the oldest of eight children and came to America in 1891, coming to Blair. He had lived here since, with the exception of a number of years spent farming at Fort Calhoun.

Never married, he had made his home with a sister, Anna. He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Jens Anderson and Anna of Blair and Bolette of Denmark; also by two nieces and two nephews.

Funeral services were held at the Bendorf Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Mr. Knight of Omaha officiating, with buried following in Blair cemetery.

JACOB JACOBSEN RITES TUESDAY

Jacob Jacobsen was born in Horsens, Denmark June 24, 1878, and died at his home east of Blair Saturday, January 25, 1941 after a long illness of heart trouble.

He was the oldest of eight children and came to America in 1891, coming immediately to Blair in which vicinity he has lived ever since, farming for a number of years near Fort Calhoun.

He never married, but made his home with his sister, Anna. He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Jens Anderson and Anna of Blair and Bolette of Denmark, also two nieces and two nephews.

Funeral services were held at Bender’s Funeral Home Tuesday afternoon, and interment made in the Blair cemetery.
