FARMER DIES OF HEART ATTACK

William J. Marshall, 67, Of Arlington, Died Friday Morning

William J. Marshall, 67, farmer living two miles east of Arlington died unexpectedly at his home early Friday morning after suffering a heart attack.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Arlington Congregational church, the Rev. H. G. VanValkenburgh officiating.

Born August 20, 1873, in Ada, Ohio, Mr. Marshall came to Nebraska with his parents some 60 years ago. He was married to Miss Anna M. Price May 21, 1894.

Surviving are his wife, Anna; five daughters, Mrs. Mildred Grothusen of Los Angeles, Mrs. Bessie Hahn of Freewater, Oregon, Mrs. Victoria Otte of Elkhorn, Mrs. Freda Hester of Arlington and Mrs. Cora Masters, Sioux City; two sons, James Marshall of Arlington and Lee of Venice, California; one brother, Ollie Marshall, of Kennard; five sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Crandall of Missouri, Mrs. Della Crandall of Arkansas, Mrs. Cora Christian of Wichita, Kansas, Mrs. Ida Sutton and Mrs. Lydia Sutton, both of Oklahoma. There are 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

W. J. MARSHALL DIES SUDDENLY

The death of William J. Marshall of Arlington, early last Friday morning, came as a shock to his many friends throughout the county. He passed away at his farm home two miles east of Arlington as the result of a heart attack.

Mr. Marshall was born August 20, 1873 in Ada, Ohio, coming to Nebraska nearly 60 years ago. He was married to Miss Anna Myrtle Price on May 21, 1894.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, James O. of Arlington and Lee of Venice, California; five daughters, Mrs. Mildred Grothusen of Los Angeles, Mrs. Bessie Hahn of Freewater, Oregon; Mrs. Victoria Otte of Elkhorn, Mrs. Frieda Hester of Arlington, and Mrs. Cora Masters of Sioux City, Iowa; five sisters, 12 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Congregational church of Arlington, 2:30, following a brief service at the farm home. Rev. H. C. Van Valkenburgh was in charge. Mrs. Blanche Woods Keller and Mrs. Leonard Wulf sang “The Old Rugged Cross” and “Abide With Me”, Mrs. Marie Vodicka of Elkhorn accompanied by Mrs. Alice Newcom sang “Beautiful Isle of Somewhere”. Interment was made in the Arlington cemetery, in charge of Reckmeyer and Son
