Alan B. Morris, 64, of Arlington, died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2015, at the Fremont Health Medical Center in Fremont.

There are no services. Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home in Arlington is in charge of arrangements.

Alan was born Jan. 9, 1950, at Omaha to Bernard and Garnet (Miller) Morris.

He was a graduate of Benson High School in Omaha and attended Denver University in Denver, Colo.

Alan married Kaye Phillips on June 18, 1970, in Omaha.

He worked for Northwestern Bell Telephone Company and after college, worked for Qwest for more than 35 years. In September of 2004, he started work at Cox Communications in Omaha.

Alan was a member of the band Chevrons, and played the keyboard, sax and guitar. He loved his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Kaye; daughter Erin and husband Troy Anzalone of Arlington; and grandchildren: Samuel and Gabrielle Anzalone; brother Gary and wife Joanne Morris of Papillion; father-in-law Tom Kelley Sr. of Blair; brothers-in-law: Wade Phillips and special friend Jean of Omaha and Tom and wife Xan Kelley of Blair; nieces: Breanna Morris of Papillion and Sydney Kelley of Blair.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
