Charles Gregory McNew, 96

Charles Gregory McNew, 96, of Fort Calhoun, died Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015, in Blair.

Services are 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 6, at Jaynes St. Community Church of God, 7534 Jaynes Street in Omaha. Interment is in the Fort Calhoun Cemetery. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Monday with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home.

Charles Gregory McNew was born July 9, 1918, in Yarrow, Mo., to James Jackson and Lena (Sorenson) McNew.

He is survived by daughters: LuAnn (Edward) Buchardt of Blair and Nancy McNew of Fort Calhoun; son Scott (Annie) McNew of Fort Calhoun; grandchildren: Joshua, Alex, Brandon (Ashley), Logan, Cameron and Morgan McNew, Nathan (Kayla) and Lizabeth Buchardt and Alison Ruffino; great‐grandchildren: Clair, Brecken, Charlee and two on the way; brother Robert McNew.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley, and son Gregory.

Memorials are suggested to Fort Calhoun Fire and Rescue or Jaynes St. Community Church of God.
