Bertha M. Allen, 79, of Council Bluffs, Iowa and formerly of Blair, died Wednesday, June 2, 1999, at Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

Services will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday, June 5, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair.

Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Bertha M. Allen was born Oct. 20, 1919 to Ossie and May (Ommerman) Burton in Blair.

She attended school in Blair, and on Dec. 2, 1952, married Wilford Roy Allen.

Most recently, she resided at the Risen Son Christian Village in Council Bluffs.

She is survived by her son, Roy Allen of Council Bluffs, Iowa; daughter, Nancy Allen of Glenwood, Iowa; two grandsons, Nicholas and William Allen; and sister Florence Brandt of Blair.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, who died April 1994; and her sister Frances Stebbin.

Campbelll-Aman Funeral Home in Blair is in charge of arrangements.
