Roland R. Kahnk, 59

Roland R. Kahnk, 59, of Kennard, died Monday, Dec. 9, 2002, at Immanuel Hospital in Omaha.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, at First Lutheran Church in Blair. Interment will be in the Kennard Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

Roland R. Kahnk was born April 14, 1943, in Blair to Gus and Amanda (Kuhr) Kahnk.

On Oct. 10, 1964, he married Linda Cook in Blair.

Mr. Kahnk worked for Midland Lutheran College from 1966 to 2000, serving as vice president of enrollment management services. Following his retirement from the college, he and his son, Dan, started Country Acres Homes.

He is survived by his wife, Linda, son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Janeen Kahnk of Broken Bow; four grandchildren; father and mother-in-law, Howard and Billie Cook; a sister and brother-in-law, Mardelle and Merle Andersen of Kennard; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Milo and Alice Kahnk of Kennard and Don and Judy Kahnk of Fremont; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Dan.

Memorials are suggested to the Roland Kahnk Grandchildren Memorial Fund, or Midland Lutheran College.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
