Funeral services were held at St. Philip Neri Church in Omaha on October 20 for Ronald Patrick Karls, 42, of Kennard, who passed away on October 17, 1986 at Immanuel Hospital.

Fr. Daniel Galas officiated at the funeral, and interment was made at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Pallbearers were Harold Shuman, Jerry Harris, William Casali, Don Brayton, Kenny Kovarik and William Durrette, all members of the National Street Rod Association, of which Ron was also a member.

Ron was born on August 23, 1944 in Omaha.

Survivors include his wife, Pamela, and sons James and Jeffrey, all of Kennard; his mother and step-father, Bernadine and Maxwell Hughes of Omaha; and several uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.
