A double funeral service for Floragene Beck, 62, and Beatrice M. Buss, 85, was held January 7, 1989, at Swanson Funeral Home, Valley.

Both women, of King Lake, were killed in a car accident January 2 at the intersection of County Road 92 and Highway 26.

Floragene was born May 25, 1926, at Carrington, North Dakota, to Raymond and Beatrice Fouscton Campbell, and worked as a nursing assistant in a medical pool.

She is survived by three sons, Dan Monaghan of Texas, Lee Monaghan of Chicago and R. Christopher Tourville, Jr., of Valley, by one daughter, Diane Vilmart of Arlington, by eight grandchildren, by her father, Raymond Campbell of Hooper, and her stepfather, Casper Buss of Norfolk, by one sister, Betty Weedlum of Snellville, Georgia, and one stepsister, Audrey Kasal of Cedar Creek, and friend Clyde Blodgett of Valley.

Beatrice Buss was born July 10, 1903, at Kosuth County, Iowa, to Robert and Mary Dotson Foucston.

She worked as a nurse’s aide in nursing homes.

Survivors include her husband Caspar of King Lake; daughter, Betty Weedlun of Georgia, step-daughter Audrey Kasal of Cedar Creek, by seven grandchildren and by eight great-grandchildren.

Rev. Lawrence Sundell officiated the funeral services; Bahai prayers by Betty Weedlun. Pallbearers were Byron Krause, Bill Muck, Scotty Spicer and Dennis Weberg.

Interment was at Prospect Hill Cemetery, Elkhorn. Swanson Funeral Home, Valley, handled the arrangements.
