Elbert L. Stark, 91, of Blair, died Monday, Jan. 5, 2015, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Community in Blair.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan.13, at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Community Chapel in Blair.

Elbert Lindsey Stark was born Oct. 25, 1923, to Lindsey and Helen Marrill Stark in rural Dodge County.

He graduated from North Bend High School in 1942.

He farmed with his father until joining the Navy in 1945. He served on the mine sweeping ship, the USS Adams, in the Hawaii and China areas.

He was united in marriage to Audrey M. Egerton on Sept. 8, 1949, at the Papillion Methodist Church.

Elbert is survived by his wife, Audrey; sons: Lindsey (Crystal) Stark and Paul (Wanda) Stark; grandchildren: Whitney Stark, Courtney (Kevon) Kahlandt, Cassandra (Tom) Tharp and Caleb (Allyson) Stark; sister-in-law Evelyn Stark; cousins Merna and Estelle Stark; and nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be directed to the Good Shepherd Lutheran Community in Blair.
