Harry Beck, 92, of Blair died Thursday, Dec. 11, 1997, at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Blair.

Services were Monday at the First Baptist Church in Blair. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery.

Mr. Beck was born Dec. 1, 1905, in Blair to Hans and Ida (Badgerow) Beck. He was a graduate of Blair High School. On March 17, 1934, he married Mildred Burger in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He worked as a mechanic for Vinton Motor Company for over 50 years, specializing in transmission repair.

He was a member of the Blair Volunteer Fire Department for several years.

Survivors are his son, Don, of Blair; a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Robert Taylor of Fremont; a sister, Alice Scheffler, of Blair; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mildred in 1978 and a sister, Edna Kuhr.

Memorials may be given to First Baptist Church or Good Shepherd Lutheran Home.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
