John Beck, 72

John O. Beck, 72, of Arlington, died Tuesday, Feb. 10, 1998, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.

Services were Friday at Reck-Meyer-Moser Funeral Home in Arlington. Rev. Mark Grorud of First Lutheran Church in Fremont officiated. Burial was in the Arlington Cemetery.

Mr. Beck was born Feb. 21, 1925, in Omaha to John and Frances (Mikkelsen) Beck. He grew up in Omaha and moved to the Arlington area in 1939 where he farmed until he retired.

He was a member of First Lutheran Church in Fremont.

Survivors are a daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Rick Haman of Lincoln; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Pallbearers were Wayne Wiley, Alan Pinkerton, Larry Voss, Bob Pfeiffer, Edgar Bohlmann, Dave Dines, and Denny Decker.

ARLINGTON — The funeral for John 0. Beck, 72, of Arlington, will be 1 p.m. Friday at Reck-Meyer-Moser Funeral Home in Arlington.

He died Tuesday, Feb. 10, 1998, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center at Omaha.

Beck was born Feb. 21, 1925, at Omaha. He grew up at Omaha and moved to the Arlington area in 1939 where he farmed until his retirement.

He was a member of First Lutheran Church in Fremont.

Survivors include a daughter, Diane (Mrs. Rick) Haman of Lincoln; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

The Rev. Mark Grorud will officiate Friday’s service. Visitation will be noon to 9 tonight, and 9 a.m. until time of service Friday, all at the funeral home. Burial will be in Arlington Cemetery.
