Mrs. Amanda J. Warrick passed away at about 5 o’clock last evening at her home on west Lincoln street of old age, she being almost 79 years of age. She went to bed only Sunday and soon became unconscious, from which she never recovered. The funeral will be held at the Baptist church at 2:30 tomorrow, Thursday, and burial will be by the side of her husband, the late Samuel Warrick, whose death occurred several years ago. He daughter, Mrs. John Kreiser, came up from Kansas City last Friday and Mr. Kreiser came today. We will give the complete obituary next week.

Amanda J. Stewart was born November 15th, 1843 at Salem, Indiana and passed away October 31, 1922 at the age of 78 years, 11 months and 16 days. When she was 12 years old she came to Washington county, Nebraska, with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Stewart who made this their home. The family settled in Cuming City. On March 21st, 1861, she was married to Samuel Warrick, who died March 1, 1913. Seven children of whom one, Ruth Ann, died in childhood, were born to this union. The others, Ada C. Kreiser, of Kansas City; Frank E. of Blair; Minnie E. Summers of Los Angeles; Ethel A. Helms of Webster, South Dakota; Maud T. Campton of Blair; Zelma R. Anderson of Erskine, Alberta, Canada, mourn the loss of a mother. Three brothers, James, Grant, and Kermott Stewart; nineteen grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren survive. Following their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Warrick made their home on a farm near Cuming City until 1884 when they moved to Blair. In the summer of 1865 she and her husband were baptized into the membership of the Cuming City Baptist church and so long as she was physically able she was a regular attendant upon the worship of the church. Less than two weeks before her death she attended the Roll Call of the Blair Baptist church of which she had been a member for nearly thirty years.

Neighbors who had enjoyed her kind helpfulness, fellow members of this church, and the entire community unite with the family in mourning the loss of a mother, a sister, and a grandmother.
