Services Held For Marjorie Katt Monday

Funeral services were Monday, June 16, at 10:30 a.m. at First Lutheran Church for Marjorie A. Katt, 69, who died Thursday, June 12, 1980, at Clarkson Hospital in Omaha after a lengthy illness. Rev. John Petersen conducted the services. Burial was in Blair Cemetery.

Marjorie A. Katt was born in Herman on September 27, 1910, to Jay P. and Maude M. (Arnold) Stokes. A lifelong resident of the Arlington area, she was a member of the FAA Club and the Immanuel Lutheran Church Ladies Circle. She married Velmar Katt in Herman on June 6, 1937.

She is survived by her husband, Velmar, Arlington; three sons, Arnold Katt, Blair and Phillip Katt and David Katt, both of Fremont; four daughters, Mrs. Joe (Donna) Orozco, La Marota, California, Mrs. Charles (JoAnne) Gibson, New Porte Rickey, Florida, Mrs. Dale (Janet) Pleyo, Fremont, and Mrs. Gary (Rosemary) Carruth, Marshalltown, Iowa; and twelve grandchildren. Five brothers, Shurley Stokes, Wilberton, Oklahoma, Lester Stokes, Fremont, Jim Stokes, Earl Stokes, both of Blair, and Jay Stokes, Jr., Omaha; and three sisters, Mrs. Laura Petersen, Herman, Mrs. Luella Rolfs, Valley, Nebraska, and Mrs. Mardelle Wulf, Blair, also survive her.

Clare Cowing was organist for the services. Jack Jensen provided the vocal music.

Pallbearers were Larry Moravec, William Bisbee, Edward Newkirk, Eldon Stork, Donald Cain and Melvin Giesselman.

Campbell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for the services.
