Orletha A. Katt, 74

Orletha A. Katt, 74, of Hooper, died Friday, Sept. 23, 2005, at the Hooper Care Center in Hooper. Funeral services were Monday, Sept. 26 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Hooper. Interment was in Memorial Cemetery in Fremont.

Orletha Alma Katt was born March 11, 1931, in Winslow to John W. and Emma M. (Bohling) Katt. She attended grades 1 through 10 at School District #85 in Winslow and graduated from Hooper High School in 1948. She was a secretary in the superintendent’s office at the Hooper High School from 1948 to 1951. She then was employed at First National Bank at Hooper and held various positions there until 1994. She then worked for First National Bank, Northeast of Hooper until retiring in 1997.

Miss Katt was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church at Hooper and St. John’s Dorcas Society.

She is survived by a sister Hilda Wittmann of Fremont; a brother and sister-in-law Elmer and Norma Katt of Herman; nieces and spouses Alice and James Dam of Hooper, Irene and Larry Homes of Fremont, Dorothy and Anton Beck and Sharon and Steve Cole, all of Rockford, Ill.; nephews and spouses Loren and Marcile Katt of Gretna, Richard and Sharon Katt of Lincoln and Jon and Jean Katt of Herman.

She was preceded in death by a brother-in-law Wallace Wittman.

Memorials are suggested to St. John’s Lutheran Church, Hooper Care Center and American Cancer Society Research Fund.

Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont was in charge of arrangements.
