Peter Henry Katt, 77 of Arlington, Dead

Funeral services for Peter Henry Katt, 77, retired Arlington farmer were held Monday at 2:00 P.M. at the Methodist church in Arlington. Officiating were Rev. Paul Wiegman of Ponca and Rev. Donald Gates of the Arlington Methodist church.

Burial was in Memorial Cemetery in Fremont.

Mr. Katt, who had been ill for many months was born in Hanover, Germany October 14, 1879. He had lived in and near Arlington for 63 years. Mr. Katt was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church at Vacoma. He married Julia Meier February 27, 1906. She preceded him in death.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Leonard Nelson of Arlington and Mrs. Ernest Suess of Yutan; three sons, Gilbert of Omaha, Velmar and Alvin of Arlington, 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Two brothers, John, of Hooper and William of Fremont also survive.

Pallbearers were Albert Siemson, Harvey Katt, Albert Hue, Clayton Brandert, Herbert Meier and Elmer Katt. The Reckmeyer and Son Funeral Home were in charge of arrangements.
