TERRY E. ANDREW, 87

Funeral services for Terry Andrew, 87, of Herman, were held Saturday, Nov. 17, 2001, at the Herman Legion Hall. Military graveside services were held in the Herman Cemetery. Mr. Andrew died Thursday, Nov. 15, at Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha.

Terrance E. Andrew was born Sept. 14, 1914 in Ulysses.

On April 10, 1938, he married Catherine Mock at Ulysses.

He served in the Army during World War II, and later worked for the Union Pacific Railroad, retiring in 1981.

Mr. Andrew served on the Herman School Board for six years and was a past president; was past fire chief of the Herman Fire Department, serving for more than 50 years; was a member of the American Legion Jackson-Peck Post No. 274; member of the Masonic Lodge, was past Worshipful Master, past Worshipful Patron of OES; president of the Herman Community Club; member of the Herman Methodist Church for more than 60 years, and was an avid supporter of all boys and girls athletics.

He is survived by his wife, Catherine, sons and daughters-in-law, Rob (Terrance Robert) and Jonnie Andrew of Akron, Ohio, and Jim and Joan Andrew of Tekamah, seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, brothers, Duard Moore of Stromsburg, Dwayne Moore of Walker, Minn., Anson Moore of Columbus, sisters, Thelma Johnson of Columbus, Ardythe Thompson of River side, Wyo., Gwendolyn Grigsby of Seward, Zora Sieck of Garland, sisters-in-law, Donna Mock of Tekamah, Frances Pastory of Omaha, and brother-in-law, Hollis Carlson of Blair.

Memorials are suggested to the Herman Community Church or Herman Fire and Rescue Squad.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair was in charge of arrangements.
