Funeral services for Wm. H. Kay, age 92 of the Good Shepherd Home were held at 1:30 Friday from Kremer Funeral Home, with burial in Mount Hope Cemetery. Pastor Henry Stolz of Good Shepherd Home, officiated. Pallbearers were: Russell Suverkrubbe, Robert Auch, Frank Rybin, Tony Matzen, Melvin Bunz and Irvin Kay.

Bill, as he was called by everyone, was born on a farm near Ft. Calhoun, Nebraska on January 16, 1886. He was married to Elsie Harder on October 20,1910 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bennington. They farmed in Washington County then resided in Bennington for a number of years.

He passed away at the Blair Memorial Hospital on December 12, 1978 at the age of 92 years, *16 months, 26 days.

He is survived by son William A. Kay of Route 1, Omaha. Mrs. Elmer (Frieda) Petersen of Bennington, Mrs. Edgar (Helen) Heldt of Omaha and Mrs. Don (Maxine) Lauritsen of Santa Rosa, California, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
