Mrs. William Kay is Buried

SERVICES HELD SUNDAY FOR BENNINGTON WOMAN, 55, EX-COUNTIAN

Funeral services for Mrs. William Kay, 55, of Bennington, were held Sunday afternoon at St. John’s Lutheran Church there with burial in Mount Hope Cemetery.

Prof. Richard R. Sayre officiated, and pallbearers were Henry Suverkrubbe, John Lauritsen, Fred Petersen, Thomas Kneip, John Dierks and George Logeman.

Elsie Harder was born in Rickert, Holsstein, Germany, Jan. 27, 1892. She was married Oct. 20, 1910, to William Kay at St. John’s Church in Bennington, and they resided in Washington county 37 years. They recently moved into Bennington.

Surviving her are her husband, a son, William A. Kay of near Benson; three daughters, Mrs. Elmer Petersen of Bennington, Mrs. Edgar Heldt of Florence and Mrs. Don Lauritsen of Omaha; five brothers, John and Max Harder of Elkhorn, Claus Harder of Bennington, Hans Harder of Avoca, Ia., and Henry Harder of Omaha; seven sisters, Mrs. Lena Rohwer of Elkhorn, Mrs. Anna Backweis of Thurston, Mrs. Catherine Bunz of Bennington, Mrs. Marie Ehlers and Mrs Emil Bainbridge of Omaha, Mrs. Frieda Schneider of Benson and Mrs. Dora Auch of Fremont. There are five grandchildren.
