Vera M. Andrews, 73, of Fremont, died Wednesday, June 14, 2000, at the Fremont Area Medical Center.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 17, 2000, at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. The Rev. Larry D. Carr of Calvary Baptist Church officiated. Interment was at the Memorial Cemetery, Fremont.

Vera M. Andrews was born Aug. 7, 1926 in Arlington to Clarence and Carrie (Kruse) Goldberg.

She grew up in Arlington, and then moved to Fremont.

She married Gaile Andrews on March 1, 1948, in Fontanelle.

She worked at Memorial Hospital of Dodge County in the dietary department; as a nurses’ aid at Arbor Manor Nursing Center; and at Mr. Donut. She operated Vera Mae’s Kitchen, The Main Street Coffee Shop, and Gregory’s Restaurant. She then returned to Arbor Manor for five years before retiring. She attended Calvary Baptist Church in Fremont.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Jolynn and Glenn Roumph of Fremont; two sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Sue Andrews, and Ronald and Michelle Andrews, all of Fremont; two sons, Terry Andrews of Hooper and Greg Andrews of Fremont; a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Helen Goldberg of Bennington, 120 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers, Kenneth Goldberg and two infants; and a great-grandchild, Marissa Marrs.

Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont was in charge of arrangements.
