JAMES REYZLIK KILLED WHEN PICKUP ROLLS FROM RURAL ROAD

27-year-old James Reyzlik died Friday evening, August 25th, as a result of a rural traffic accident. At about 7 p.m., Mr. Reyzlik’s pickup truck went off the shoulder of a gravel road, broke off a power pole and rolled over into a corn field.

The accident took place four miles west of Blair and three-quarters of a mile north of Highway 91 on a gravel road. Mr. Reyzlik and his family lived on the Mrs. Frank Wilson farm in that area.

Neighbors in the area discovered the accident after the lights went off at their farm place. Power was out for over an hour after the power pole was broken off. Lights were out all the way from the Blair Airport north to Herman.

The neighbors spotted the pickup on its side in a corn field. When they arrived at the scene they felt Mr. Reyzlik was still alive. He died enroute to the Blair Hospital.

Mr. Reyzlik is survived by his wife, two children, his parents, grandfather, a brother and a sister. His wife is Marlene Reyzlik and their two children are Heidi and Heath, all of Blair. His parents are Mr. and Mrs. Frank Reyzlik of Blair. Ron and Sandra Reyzlik are the brother and sister and Mr. James W. Pounds in the grandfather.

James Reyzlik was born March 19, 1951 at Omaha, Nebraska. He was a carpenter by trade.

Services were held in the First United Methodist Church of Blair on Monday, August 28th, at 10:30 a.m. Services were conducted by Dr. Gordon Patterson with burial in the Blair Cemetery under the direction of the Campbell Funeral Home.

Pallbearers include Ron Reyzlik, Ron Deckard, Brian Lensch, Wayne Quick, Fred Rodenburg, Rodney Therkelsen, Monte Flynn, Terry Kelley, Roy Kirk, Gary Myers, Kim Quick and Dan Wilkins.
