Marjorie A. Hilgenkamp, 93

Marjorie A. Hilgenkamp, 93,,of Lake Mary, Fla., formerly of Arlington, died Sunday, Jan. 11, 2015, at Brookdale Assisted Living in Lake Mary after a long illness.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 21, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church north of Arlington. The Rev. Rick Kanoy and The Rev. Jason Duley will officiate. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20, with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Reckmeyer-Moser Funeral Home in Arlington. Visitation continues on Wednesday at the church one hour prior to service. Burial will be in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery at Arlington.

Marjorie was born Feb. 10, 1921, at Fremont, to Herman and Adela (Brunkow) Gnuse.

She attended school at Bisbee and was a graduate of Arlington High School. Marjorie married Virgil H. Hilgenkamp on May 10, 1942, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church at Arlington. The couple farmed northeast of Arlington for many years. Virgil preceded her in death June 4, 1991. Marjorie moved to Florida about four years ago.

She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church at Arlington and the Ladies Aid.

She is survived by son David and wife Joanne Hilgenkamp of Arlington; daughter Mary Ann and husband John Dole of Longwood, Fla.; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Virgil; sisters: Lanetta Bensen and Ada Wood; and a grandchild.

Memorials may be directed to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church or St. Paul’s Lutheran School.
