Ella A. Smith, 89, died at Crowell Memorial Home Saturday, Sept. 17, 1988.

Ella was born in Berlin, Germany, June 22, 1899, and came to this country with her parents and two older sisters when she was two years old.

She was married Dec. 10, 1917 to Clarence A. Smith, Sr., of Fort Calhoun, who preceded her in death July 21, 1988.

Ella is survived by three children: Jack of Escondido, California; Frances Lee of Athens, Ohio; and Clarence, Jr. of Fort Calhoun; eleven grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were at the Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church Wed., Sept. 21. Rev. Dale Sanders officiated and burial was at the Fort Calhoun cemetery.
