Funeral services were held Saturday May 1 at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church for John V. Keegan, 83, who died April 28, 1982 at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

Father Daniel Galas conducted the services. Burial was at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

John V. Keegan was born at Underwood, Iowa, on December 9, 1898, to Patrick and Fulvia Fitzgerald Keegan. He was married to Irene McMillan.

She preceded him in death.

He is survived by one son, Leo Keegan of Fort Calhoun. One brother, Kenneth Keegan, Springdale, Arkansas; and one sister, Teresa Neuman, Blair, also survive him.

Pallbearers for the services were John Coyle, Francis Mehrens, Dean Coe, Duane Wilcox, John Kelly and Don Conrad.

Campbell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for the services.
