George Kegler, 76
Services for George Kegler of Herman, who died December 6, 1993 at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair were Wednesday, December 8 at the Herman Legion Hall with Military grave-side services in the Herman Cemetery.
George W. Kegler was born March 24, 1917, at Blair to Fredrick and Frieda Grossoehme Kegler. He attended Cumming City School until 1930, at which time he attended Blair High School, graduating in 1934.
He served in the army during World War II, serving from 1942-1946.
In 1952, he married Gladys Robuck in Memphis, Missouri.
He farmed in the Blair and Herman area until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife, Molly; three children, Tom Kegler, Herman; John Kegler, Spring Grove, Minnesota and Elizabeth Strasser, Muscatine, Iowa; six grandchildren, Shane Kegler, Jesse Porter, Cody Porter, Drew Repp, Amber Strasser and Christopher Strasser; one brother, Fred Kegler, Omaha and three sisters, Dorothy Snyder and Jean Snyder, both of Carefree, Arizona and Ruth Kegler of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
