Dies After Operation

MAE KEGLER, 46, HAD BEEN BLAIR RESIDENT ALL HER LIFE

Miss Mae Kegler, 46, life-long resident of Blair, passed away Thursday, August 3. Her death followed an appendicitis operation which resulted in gangrene and other complications.

Born at Blair on May 22, 1898, Miss Kegler grew up in this community and attended the Blair schools. She had lived with her mother, Mrs. Julius Kegler for the past seven years.

Besides the mother, Miss Kegler leaves three sisters, Mrs. Willard Gustin, Mrs. Lester Barton and Mrs. Otto Kuhr; and two brothers, Fred and Caesar, all of Blair.

The Rev. D.D. Kennedy, Baptist minister, conducted funeral rites at Bendorf Funeral Home at 2:30 o’clock Sunday afternoon. Burial was in Blair cemetery.

MAE KEGLER RITES SUNDAY AUGUST 6

Mae Kegler, age 46 years, died August 3rd, 1944, following an operation for appendicitis. She was a native of Blair, and grew to womanhood here where she received her education.

For the past seven years she has made her home with her mother on West Lincoln Street. She leaves to mourn her death her mother and three sisters, Mrs. Willard Gustin, Mrs. Leslie Barton and Mrs. Otto Kuhr; also two brothers, Fred and Caesar, all of Blair and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. from the Bendorf Funeral Home with Rev. D. D. Kennedy officiating, and interment was made in the Blair cemetery.
