H. H. SORENSEN KILLED IN HEADON CAR COLLISION

Hans H. Sorensen, 68 years of age, farmer north of Blair, was killed in a two-car accident near Winnebago, Sunday.

Seriously injured were his wife, Joanna, 68, and a grandson, Charles Boyd, 14. A granddaughter, Sandra Jo Boyd, 16, was also injured in the accident. All are in a Sioux City hospital.

Two other persons were killed in the headon collision. They were Mrs. Harold Morgan, 42, and her daughter, Judith Morgan, 18 years of age. Also injured in the crash were Harold Morgan, 43 and Rallie Winters, 18 years of age. All of Winnebago.

Thurston County Sheriff Harold Obermeyer was quoted as saying that the Morgan car, driven by Miss Morgan, apparently went out of control and crashed headon into the Sorensen car. The accident took place just north of Winnebago on Highway 73, about noon Sunday. The Morgan car burst into flames and was demolished.

The Sorensens were returning from Canton, South Dakota where they had visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Morris Boyd. The Boyd children were returning to Blair for a visit at the home of their grandparents when the accident occurred.

The Campbell Mortuary states that funeral arrangements are pending.

Mr. Sorensen is survived by his wife, Joanna; 3 daughters, Mrs. Eldred Kempcke (Irene) of Blair; Mrs. Leona Jones of Lexington; and Mrs. Sally Swartz of Omaha.

A sister, Naomi Sorensen of Blair, five brothers, Gudmond and Carl G. Sorensen of Blair; Otto Sorensen of Arlington; William Sorensen of Falls City; and Henry Sorensen of Exeter, Missouri.
