27-YEAR OLD NASHVILLE MAN DIES FOLLOWING ONE-CAR ACCIDENT

(picture & caption) “Pictured above is the car which Jesse W. Taylor was driving when it went out of control on Highway 73 north of Nashville Saturday evening. Mr. Taylor was killed in the one-car accident.”

A 27-year-old Nashville man was killed in a one-car accident just north of Nashville on Highway 73 at approximately 10 p.m. Saturday evening.

Dead is Jesse W. Taylor, a mechanic who was employed in Omaha, who lived with his grandfather, Jesse Taylor, of Nashville.

Deputy Sheriff George Lemley, who investigated the accident, stated that the Taylor car apparently went out of control after crossing the railroad tracks on the curve on Highway 73 approximately one mile north of Nashville.

The vehicle left the highway on the right side, hit a power pole and apparently flipped end over end.

Mr. Taylor, who received a deep gash in his leg, and lost considerable blood, was able to reach the highway where he collapsed. Frank Reyzlik, 1829 Colfax Street, Blair, discovered Mr. Taylor and notified authorities.

The Blair Rescue Squad was called. Taylor was pronounced dead upon arrival at Memorial Community Hospital.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Haynes and Roder Funeral Home in Omaha.

Mr. Taylor is survived by his father, Earl Robert Taylor of Omaha; mother, Mrs. Thomas Seidl of Fort Calhoun; brothers, Jerry Taylor of Fort Calhoun and Louie Taylor of Omaha.
