LARS JENSEN RITES TODAY

FARMED FOR 50 YEARS IN WASHINGTON COUNTY - - BORN IN DENMARK

Funeral services for Lars Jensen, 79, who died Monday night at the Blair Convalescent Home after an illness of several months, will be held today (Thursday) at 2 o’clock at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, the Rev. J. D. Johnson officiating.

Mr. Jensen was born in Denmark Jan. 26, 1873. At the age of 18 he came to America and lived for several years at Exira, Ia. In Dec. 1899 he was united in marriage to Sine Christensen, who died in 1934.

Mr. Jensen spent over 50 years as a farmer in Washington County. On FEbr. 23, 1944 he was married to Mrs. Mary Miller. Survivors include his wife; one brother, Marinus of Anita, Ia.; three sisters, Mrs. Christina Christensen of Anita, Ia.; Mrs. Anna Michelson of Audubon, Ia.; and Mrs. Mary Anna Hansen of Huntington Park, Calif.

The Campbell Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
