Arthur Keller, Sr., 68

Funeral services for Art Keller, 68, who died October 20, 1990 at Memorial Community Hospital will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 23 at the Campbell-Aman Funeral Home, Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Arthur Reuben Keller, Sr. was born to Frank and Minnie Ramsdell Keller at White Cloud, Kansas on December 25, 1921. He was one of 12 children.

He attended school at White Cloud, Kansas and served three years in the Army during World War II.

After being discharged from the service he married Norma Jean McMann on July 6, 1946 in Seneca, Kansas. They made their first home in Brownville, Nebraska. His occupation as river worker brought them to live in Brownville and Decatur, Nebraska.

After 17 years of work on the river he became a farm hand on a farm north of Blair. After his wife’s death July 4, 1975, he began working for the City of Blair from which he retired in December of 1987.

He married Frances Stevens on April 14, 1969 in Lexington, Nebraska. They continued to live in Blair until his death.

Arthur Reuben Keller was baptized in 1947 at the Brownville Christian Church and transferred his membership to the First Lutheran Church in Blair in September, 1989. He was also a member of V.F.W. Post No. 1251 in Blair.

He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Norma Jean, one sister and two brothers.

He is survived by his wife, Frances; daughters, Mary Lou (Mrs. Steve) Sonderup of Blair; Sharon, (Mrs. Ross) Rasmussen of Blair; Kristi Keller of Blair; sons Jim and Gene of Blair; Art, Jr. of Missouri Valley, Iowa; 15 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; ten step-children, LeRoy Stevens, Norma Roesler, Stanley Stevens, Don Stevens, Delbert Stevens, Howard Stevens, Ina (Mrs. Don) Burr, Monica (Mrs. Bob) Bernheisel, Diana (Mrs. Jeff) Pleskac, Beverly (Mrs. Ray) Mann; 26 step-grandchildren; five brothers, Marvin of Onawa, Iowa; Wilbur, Omaha; Dale, Oakridge, Oregon; Darwin, West Linn, Oregon and Francis, Merrifield, Oregon; three sisters, Delephine Hayes, Brownville, Nebraska; Sarah Painter, Topeka, Kansas and Juanita Driver of Lexington, Missouri; numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
