Ethel H. Keller, 78

Ethel H Keller, 78, of rural Hooper, died on Friday, Jan. 6, 1989 at the Blair Memorial Community Hospital.

Ethel was born on June 26, 1910 as the daughter of Elmer and Marie (Johnson) Lantefield in Craig, Ne.

She grew up in the Uehling and Craig area. She was united in marriage to Elmer Keller on Feb. 12, 1930 in Fullerton, Ne. After their marriage they farmed in the Hooper and Uehling area. The couple moved to the Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Blair in November of 1987.

Ethel was a member of the Elim Lutheran Church at Swaburg, a past member of the Elim Lutheran Ladies Aid and she also taught Sunday School for many years.

Ethel was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Marie Lantefield; and a brother, Elra Lantefield.

Survivors include her husband, Elmer; daughter, Lois (Mrs. Lawrence) Timm of Hooper; brothers, Earl and Verl Lantefield both of Fremont; sisters, Dorothy Hultgren and Marian (Mrs. Garlan) Schultz, both of Fremont, and Shirley (Mrs. Vernon) Von Seggern of Hooper; and one grandson, Lauren Timm.

Funeral services were held on Monday, Jan. 9, 1989 at the Elim Lutheran Church at Swaburg, rural Hooper. The Rev. Mark Eldal and Dr. Clifford Hanson officiated. Organist at the funeral was Mrs. Allen Cuda and a duet was sung by Marvel Christensen and Irvin Stover.

Pallbearers were Gary Johnson, John Latefield, LeRoy Keller, Darrell Huntgren, Layne Meyer and Larry Pullen. Interment was at the Elim Lutheran Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Elim Lutheran Church or the donor’s favorite charity.

Funeral arrangements were handled by the Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont.
