Daniel F. Kelly, 71, of Omaha, died Tuesday, May 4, 1999, in Washington County.

Services were 10 a.m. Friday, May 7, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fort Calhoun. Father James Schwertley officiated. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Tom Lucht, Mike Roney, Terry Fitzgerald, Jim Townley, John Theil and Marty Connolley. Honorary pallbearers were Don Masloskie, Jim Kruger, Mike Fitzgerald, Richard Kuhl, Elmer Kuhl and Howard Barnes.

Daniel F. Kelly was born May 5, 1927, to Earl J. and Rose (Dinkens) Kelly in Washington County. He attended Garryowen School and worked as a farmer.

On Aug. 16, 1958, he married Lorraine Raymond in Fort Calhoun.

He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife, Lorraine Kelly of Omaha; son and daughter-in-law, Doyal and Angela Holmon of San Diego, Calif.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Mike Abels of Cambridge, and Wendy and Jim Hooyboer of Omaha; and many nieces and nephews.

Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home in Fort Calhoun was in charge of arrangements.
