Services for 82 year-old Mrs. Lillie Alma Mencke were held on Monday, March 27th, at the First United Methodist Church in Blair. Rev. Barbara Schenkel officiated with Campbell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements and burial at the Blair Cemetery.

Mrs. Mencke was born in Pierce County, Nebraska on June 2, 1895 and died on Friday, March 24th at the Good Shepherd Home in Blair. She was married to Louis Mencke on March 3, 1915 at Wisner, Nebraska. Mr. Mencke preceded her in death in May 9, 1959. The couple had farmed until 1954 when they moved to town.

Surviving are two children, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. The children are: Lloyd Mencke of Herman; and Mrs. Harry (Inez) Dexheimer of Blue Springs, Missouri . Mrs. Mencke was a member of the Eastern Star and Royal Neighbors.

Mrs. Mencke also has three uncles and one aunt surviving. They are Charles Goreham of Pender; Warren Goreham of Wisner; and Louis Goreham of Arlington. The aunt is Bertha Hart of Norfolk.

Pallbearers were Ervin Clements, Eugene Husk, Clifford Larsen, Larry Nun, Clifford Olson and Harold Paulsen.
