Raymond Christensen, 92
Raymond Christensen, 92, of Fremont, formerly of rural Blair, died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2015, at Dunklau Gardens in Fremont.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 4, at Mount Hope Cemetery in Omaha. Viewing will be 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair.
Raymond Christensen was born Oct. 9, 1922, in Douglas County to Lars and Dora Christensen. He grew up on the family farm south of Blair.
On Feb. 16, 1955, he was united in marriage to Lillian (Florian) Bruha, and the couple made their home on the family farm. To this union, the couple’s daughter Betty was born.
Raymond served his country during World War II in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Kennard American Legion.
He enjoyed watching baseball, working in his garden and lending his neighbors a helping hand when needed.
He is survived by his daughter, Betty Christensen of Fremont.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, two sisters and his wife, Lillian.
