James M. Dice, 54

James M. Dice, 54, of Blair, died Monday, Nov. 29, 2010, in Blair.

Services were Thursday, Dec. 2, at Heafey-Heafey-Dworak-Cutler Chapel in Omaha. Private family graveside services were held at the Allen Cemetery.

James Michael Dice was born Nov. 15, 1956, in Omaha, to John and Evelyn (Weekes) Dice. He attended North High School and graduated from Northwest High School. He graduated from Bellevue University where he played baseball for the university.

On April 24, 1981, he married Teresa Baldwin at St. Richard's Catholic Church.

In 1980 he joined the Baldwin family carpet business.

Mr. Dice coached his two sons in baseball and was coach of the Omaha Gladiators. He was very active in working with individuals as a batting instructor for 10 years, having built his own batting cage in Blair.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa, of Blair; daughter and son-in-law, Mandy and Joel Tucker, Minot, N.D.; sons and daughter-in-law, Luke and Nikki Dice of Omaha, and Jake Dice of Blair; granddaughter, Jordan Tucker; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Joanne and Donald E. Baldwin Sr.; brother and sister-in-law, John and Diane Dice and sister and brother-in-law, DuRell and Mark Strathman, all of Omaha; many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Longtime member of the Baldwin Carpet Family in Omaha.

Services 10am Thursday at Heafey-Heafey-Dworak-Cutler Chapel. Private family graveside services in the Allen Cemetery.
