RAYMOND E. MENCKE, 75

A memorial service for Raymond E. Mencke, 75 of Eugene, Oregon, who died December 9, 1993 of cancer will be held Monday, December 13 at Eugene First Congregational Church.
Raymond E. Mencke was born in Blair August 14, 1918. He married Arline Haupert in Ames, Iowa June 15, 1941.
He was a graduate of Blair High School and served in the United States Army from 1942 to 1946.
A former resident of Portland, Oregon and Medford, Oregon, he worked as a steel distributor and later owned a garden and nursery store.
He was a member of the Eugene First Congregational Church and Rotary International. He was also a Mason.
He is survived by a son, Raymond Edward Mencke, Jr. of Mercer Island, Washington; a daughter, Carolyn Gabrielson of McLean, Virginia; three sisters, Dorothy Bateman and Gretchen Long, both of Blair and Marguerite Donahue of Grand Rapids, Michigan; three grandchildren.
Memorials may go to First Congregational Church or the Sacred Heart Hospice in Eugene.
Musgrove Family Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
