HENRY MENGEDOHT DIED LAST SATURDAY

Henry Mengedoht, well known farmer of the New England area west of Herman, died last Saturday, January 15th at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair. He was 72 years old.

Mr. Mengedoht was born at Arlington March 14, 1893. He grew to manhood in that area and devoted his entire life to farming. For many years he farmed west of Herman where he was regarded as one of the substantial farm operators of the community.

His wife preceded him in death but he is survived by a son, Carl Mengedoht, also of the Herman area. There are three grandchildren.

A brother, Roy Mengedoht, lives in Fremont. Also surviving are four sisters. These are Mrs. Cecilia Lallman, Arlington; Mrs. Clare Schurman, Nickerson; Mrs. Anna Egbers, Uehling; Mrs. Ellen Sprick, Fort Calhoun.

Funeral services were held at the Cambpell Mortuary in Blair Tuesday afternoon, January 18th with the Rev. Dale Westadt conducting the service. Burial under the direction of the Campbell Mortuary, was made in the Herman cemetery.

Pallbearers were Luther Monke, Leland Ruwe, Derald Crom, August Lallman, Alfred Egbers and Carroll Schurman.
